Do you have or are you working on your Instrument
rating and feel like the normal practice routine is nor really testing your skills in a real world environment? How about a flight into some of the most complex airspace in the country?
This trip starts in the
morning meeting at the airport and getting a weather briefing and filing an IFR
flight plan into the Washington Dulles airport (KIAD). This trip will take us through
almost every type of airspace including the Washington
SFRA with a landing at one of the busiest bravo airports in the country.
Upon arrival at Washington Dulles, we will park the airplane and make our way
over to the Smithsonian Air
and Space museum and enjoy the finest dining they have to offer (hope
you like mcdonalds).
After 5 or 6 well spent hours in the museum, and gift shop, we will make our way back to the airport, file a new IFR flight plan, and head to where we are going to stop for dinner. Once we finish dinner we will once again file an IFR flight plan and make our way home.
Please take the SFRA course denoted in the "Washington SFRA" link above prior to the trip, I require that you have your course completion card with you upon departure for this flight.
